2023 was a year of growth and celebration for GHP’s Empowering Women program. After the EW program was held Mumbai in May, participants were so impacted they returned the travel stipend they were provided to help them attend. The ladies wanted those funds to be reinvested in the program so others could benefit! The Hope Team was inspired by their generosity!
Several women in Mumbai were trained to provide EW training in their own villages and received encouraging testimonies like the one below. The women were empowered by the message that they are of high value to God and that they can have a spiritual and financial impact on their families. They have started a variety of businesses as a result, including t-shirt design, tailoring, a beauty parlor and the bakery highlighted below!
“Attending the EW Program was a wonderful, eye-opening, upbringing event for me. Soon after the program I was encouraged to start a baking business, as I loved baking. I thank God for making me part of this program.”
The enthusiasm and HOPE the ladies receive from Empowering Women is encouraging and demand for programming continues to grow! Will consider a generous gift to support life-transforming programs like Empowering Women?
