2023 Ministry Overview

With great joy, we present the 2023 Ministry Overview! Reflecting on last year’s endeavors and blessings, we are filled with thankfulness for the opportunities to serve and witness God’s transformative power in the communities we are called to reach.

In this overview, you will see the fruitfulness of God’s ministry and testimonies of lives touched and transformed by His love and provision. God has been faithful through every endeavor and as we minister in 2024 and look ahead to the future, we are excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie before us. The need for ministry is tremendous, and in the coming year we have ambitious goals and plans to expand and advance our reach in South Asia to meet that demand.

Thank you for your unwavering support and prayers, which make this important work possible. Your faithful partnership is making a difference in the lives of those in need and bringing communities hope and restoration.

World Water Day

“If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” John 7:37b-38

If you have ever traveled out of the United States, one of the first things you likely realize we take for granted is access to clean water.  It is hard to believe that today, there are still more than 2 billion people across the globe do not have access to clean and safe drinking water!

In Pakistan, women often walk several kilometers to the nearest well.  It takes a major part of the day to collect enough water for cooking, cleaning, washing and drinking.  Sadly, it is often a barrier to education because children have to assist in that chore.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors,

Five Wells were installed in 2023

to give access to clean water access to 1,150 individuals.
The gift of a well opens the door to many ministries for the Hope Team to care for those in need.

Each well costs only $250 to install but makes a lifetime of impact.

Hope Attained through Vocational Training

A story of HOPE

Global Hope Partners’ Alpha Vocational Training Center (AVTC) sewing courses are a 9 month program for women of all faiths.  This time spent together not only results in a new skill and livelihood, but also an awareness of God’s love for them.

Jamna is a member of the AVTC sewing program in Pakistan.  When she first started the course, she was 3 months pregnant and overwhelmed with stress.  Her husband’s modest wages were not enough to cover the impending delivery of her baby, so she was facing a risky at-home birth.  However, through the skills learned in the AVTC, Jamna was able to earn enough to pay for a medically attended birth, even while she was still enrolled and learning! She safely delivered her beautiful baby boy, has graduated the course, and today she continues to contribute to the family income through her tailoring skills.  

We are so grateful to be a part of empowering the lives of women in South Asia by equipping them to contribute financially to their households. Will you join us in praying for them to grow in faith and accomplishment?

Ringing in the New Year with Joy

2024 is already off to a great start and we wanted you to be the first to share in our delight! Shortly after the New Year, Peter, Esther and The Hope Team staff gathered for a belated Christmas and New Year celebration with the Alpha Home students and alumni in Hyderabad. This is a highly anticipated event each year!

There was dancing and delicious food, a time of reconnecting and encouragement. Peter was able to spend father-son time with the boys, while Esther poured into the girls. Together they heard from Alpha Home alumni Ratna Kumar who is now an investment banker. He shared practical advice on the importance of saving and tithing before spending which sparked great conversation.

It was a beautiful day celebrating our savior and all the ways He works in and through our lives!

Empowering Women with HOPE

May the God of HOPE fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with HOPE by the power of the Holy Spirit.

2023 was a year of growth and celebration for GHP’s Empowering Women program.  After the EW program was held Mumbai in May, participants were so impacted they returned the travel stipend they were provided to help them attend.  The ladies wanted those funds to be reinvested in the program so others could benefit!  The Hope Team was inspired by their generosity!

Several women in Mumbai were trained to provide EW training in their own villages and received encouraging testimonies like the one below.  The women were empowered by the message that they are of high value to God and that they can have a spiritual and financial impact on their families. They have started a variety of businesses as a result, including t-shirt design, tailoring, a beauty parlor and the bakery highlighted below!

“Attending the EW Program was a wonderful, eye-opening, upbringing event for me.  Soon after the program I was encouraged to start a baking business, as I loved baking.  I thank God for making me part of this program.”

The enthusiasm and HOPE the ladies receive from Empowering Women is encouraging and demand for programming continues to grow! Will consider a generous gift to support life-transforming programs like Empowering Women?
