We are thrilled that Vacation Bible School is returning after being shut down for COVID gathering restrictions!
Earlier this month, VBS leaders gathered for training. Judging by the photographs, VBS is going to be great fun this year!
Please join us in praying for the children attending throughout the month of May and June!
Each year in the cold winter months, the Hope Team distributes blankets to those in dire need of protection from the elements. Delivered with a message of hope, these blankets sustain the recipients and protect them from the elements. Thanks to the support of our incredible donors, the team recently provided blankets to those who were struggling in a refugee camp. There they met Amena, who shared her story:
My family was killed for our faith by the Taliban, forcing me to flee Afghanistan. I walked alone for six days, three of them without food, sustained only by faith and prayer. God gave me a vision of two angels waiting for me and led me to the Hope Team who provided me a warm blanket and food. I rejoiced with my fellow believers!
In our darkest moments,
God provides!
Please join us in prayer for Amena and the many refugees being persecuted for their faith and pray God will continue to reveal ways Global Hope Partners can provide aid to the refugee community.
On International Women’s Day, our team spent time together to pray for women all over the world. At Global Hope Partners, our partners recognize the unique value of women in society. That’s why GHP’s Community Development initiatives have been redesigned to incorporate programming focused on Empowering Women. These include vocational training to enable women to financially support their families, targeted education on women’s health issues, and culturally sensitive instruction to raise awareness of abuse and trafficking risks.
Will you join us in congratulating and praying for this class of 20 new seamstresses who will graduate the end of March? We are so proud of all they’ve accomplished and know their skills are an invaluable tool to better their lives.
Wrapped in Love… it’s a beautiful image to be wrapped in the love of God! Because of the generous support of donors like you, in 2021 the Wrapped in Love campaign distributed 340 blankets to those struggling through the harsh winter in South Asia.
One Local leader shared the impact he witnessed while sharing God’s love with those in need:
“We were distributing blankets and food supplies in a camp for refugees displaced when they fled Afghanistan. The weather was bitterly cold, and these people had little to protect them from the elements. They were so happy to receive the blanket and excited as they anticipated a sound night’s sleep. After witnessing this act of kindness, the nearby villagers were inspired to offer some of their own clothing to the needy refugees! It was a day of rejoicing through spreading generosity!”
Global Hope Partners’ original Alpha School is located in a small village in South Asia. It provides a quality education opportunity for underprivileged children in grades Kindergarten through 5th. During the COVID-19 lockdown, our dedicated teachers went door-to-door in the village to give lessons in small groups and ensure the children stayed on track.
In November, current families and alumni came together to celebrate the reopening of the school. It was a wonderful time of rejoicing and reflecting on how the school has blessed the community!
PARENT TESTIMONY
My daughter is studying in 4th grade at the Alpha Upper Primary School. My older son also studied there, and thanks to the strong foundation provided by the staff, he was accepted into a prestigious high school in the vicinity. We are forever indebted to the Hope Team for helping the poor and running a school in this remote village. Giving quality education free of cost to those who cannot afford it is an honor to us!
This past spring as the Hope Team was distributing COVID Relief packets to widows of pastors, we met Anna. When Anna’s husband, Pastor Jacob, passed away and the second wave of COVID hit, their church shut down and as a result Anna and the children, Joseph (13) and Esther (7) began to struggle to make ends meet. As a result, Anna could no longer afford to send the children to school.
Through your generous support and prayers, the Hope Team was able to provide Anna with a relief packet and her children received sponsorships for their educations! After several weeks, Anna excitedly informed us she had found a good job and could now afford to send the children to school again.
Anna wanted to give back the support offered to her so that it could be used for another child in need!
Restrictions from the second devastating wave of COVID-19 have begun to ease, and your prayers and support have allowed the Hope Team to share the love of God with those who are suffering.
Your generosity helped over 2,500 Rag Pickers and Slum Dwellers receive food support, 80 children receive soy milk twice a week, nearly 60 pastors and their widows receive financial aid and urgent medical needs, and provided over 1,500 ten-day food supply packs to rural pastors and their families who have been greatly affected by the church shutdowns.
One pastor shared that receiving the groceries was like a celebration and gave all glory to God for the gift!
Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus through this outreach. Many have experienced relief as they have been encouraged by the care of others from around the world.
